Meta seeks an experienced policy professional to lead local government affairs across the United States in support of our data center site strategy. You will engage with local governments and regional bodies to advance data center priorities and strengthen community relationships across Meta's sites.

This remote role is based in Texas or Louisiana, requires frequent travel up to 80%, and reports to the Public Policy Manager, Local Government Affairs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in political science, business/strategy, economics, legal, communications or related field.
• 8+ years in state/local public policy, advocacy or government affairs.
• Experience with policymakers and stakeholders at data center locations.
• Knowledge of technology, infrastructure, data center and economic development policy.
• Experience communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsabilités

• Lead Meta's local government affairs across current and future US data center sites.
• Build and execute a regional policy strategy with cities, counties, and regional bodies.
• Advance data center infrastructure investment, permitting, and economic development.
• Monitor political environment and identify opportunities to advance policy.
• Coordinate with Infrastructure and Data Center teams on site timelines and commitments.
• Engage with industry groups, nonprofits, and associations to promote objectives.
• Collaborate with Community Engagement to engage chambers and civil society.
• Provide timely updates to cross-functional partners and internal stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with policymakers, contract lobbyists, and trade associations.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time based on need.
