Job summary

First Interstate in Billings, MT is seeking a Loan Servicing Senior Specialist to own complex loan servicing tasks and drive root-cause analysis. You will develop procedures, train staff, and interface with other support functions to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

duties include handling complex loan functions, assisting customer inquiries, updating core data, and backing up leadership. A Bachelor’s in finance or related field is preferred with 1–3 years in lending operations.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex loan servicing functions such as Attorney Prepared Loan Processing and Complex Commercial Loans.
• Assist customer service calls regarding account inquiries and resolution of errors or complaints.
• Update servicing core data and document customer contact.
• Monitor procedures for accuracy and contribute to updates.
• Train new hires and assist in creating procedures.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and bank policies.
• Support process improvement and monitor SLAs.
• Act as first level escalation for complex inquiries.
• Back up the department manager when out of the office.
