Job summary

First Fed is seeking a Loan Servicing Team Lead in Bellingham, WA to organize and guide the daily servicing of commercial, consumer, and mortgage loans. You will train staff, manage complex boardings, and ensuring accurate payoffs, postings, and GL reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certified equivalency; 3+ years loan servicing experience preferred.
• Advanced understanding of loan types: consumer, mortgage, commercial, SBA, participation.
• Experience with investor reporting, escrow processing, insurance tracking.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to lead and coach staff.
• Proficiency with PCs; MS Outlook, Word and Excel; ability to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day loan servicing activities with accuracy and timeliness.
• Process complex loan boardings, quality control reviews, payoffs and file maintenance.
• Handle customer account requests: payments, payoff quotes, tax/insurance payments.
• Oversee and support staff, provide training and guidance as needed.
• Balance the GL daily and monthly; ensure documentation compliance.
• Develop advanced user skills for Cleartouch and lending interfaces.
• Assign workload fairly; foster a collaborative team environment.
• Provide backup support to Loan Servicing Manager and participate in projects.
