Job summary

Happy State Bank is seeking a Portfolio Manager II to oversee a loan portfolio, including underwriting and presenting commercial and consumer loans for approval. You will monitor portfolio performance to align with client goals and risk tolerance in a hands-on, compliance-driven environment.

The role requires deep understanding of lending across commercial and consumer products, annual reviews, renewals, negotiations, and collaboration with other portfolio managers.

Qualifications

• College degree in business, finance, economics or accounting preferred.
• Experience and knowledge in lending or banking is expected.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and present commercial and consumer loans for approval.
• Manage a loan portfolio including lines of credit, term loans and real estate loans.
• Conduct annual reviews and process renewal/increase requests.
• Ensure timely payment of loans in the portfolio.
• Negotiate terms with borrowers and close renewals/increases.
• Collaborate with other portfolio managers on loans as needed.
• Maintain compliance and complete required BSA/AML training.
