Job summary

Aegis Aerospace Inc. seeks a Senior Loads & Dynamics Engineer at Kennedy Space Center to support NASA's Moon Base Transportation Office. You will evaluate spacecraft, payloads, and launch-vehicle structures across launch and spaceflight environments, using FEA, modal analyses, and test-data correlations.

The role emphasizes practical flight-test experience, independent technical judgment, and collaboration with NASA and industry partners to ensure readiness of hardware for lunar operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited school.
• 10+ years in loads, structural dynamics, testing, FEA, or spacecraft/launch-vehicle structural analysis.
• Experience with dynamic FEA, coupled loads, and modal analysis.
• Experience supporting flight hardware/testing and analytical correlation.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent technical assessment of loads and structural-dynamics analyses.
• Perform and assess coupled loads analyses for spacecraft and launch vehicles.
• Develop and evaluate finite element and structural-dynamics models.
• Perform modal, transient, frequency-response, and acoustic analyses for launch/spaceflight environments.
• Evaluate quasi-static and inertial acceleration loads and their effects on hardware.
• Review test requirements and evidence to support qualification and flight readiness.
• Communicate findings clearly to multidisciplinary teams.
