Job summary

Central Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. seeks an experienced utility load forecaster to deliver long-range and near-term load forecasts. You will perform econometric analyses, develop and maintain forecasting databases, and present findings to stakeholders.

You must have strong quantitative skills, be able to work under tight deadlines, and write clear technical reports. Experience with linear regression and tools like SAE forecasting or Itron Metrix is preferred; 5 years in the field is

Responsibilities

• Prepares Central’s load forecast using econometric analysis and presents to stakeholders.
• Updates annually substation level forecasts and coordinates with system models.
• Creates and reviews databases for annual system load forecasting.
• Maintains forecasting data sources and contributes to cost/finance planning.
• Provides analytical support to Central and Member Cooperatives.
• Ensures forecasting databases are accurate for all projects.
