Job summary

Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM) seeks a Sr Load Research Data and Systems Analyst to plan, design, and conduct research aiding interpretation of economic relationships and problem solving. The role focuses on load forecasting, data management, and regulatory submissions.

You will analyze electric demand data, manage MV-90 and Lodestar software, and perform SAS analyses to support rate design, regulatory filings, and strategic planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or related field with five to seven years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Ability to perform extensive SAS analyses on tight timeframes for regulatory, rate design and senior management needs.
• Experience with load research, forecasting, data management and software upgrades (MV-90, Lodestar).

Responsibilities

• Disseminates data on historical and projected electric demand and energy sales for the Company and customers.
• Performs load research activities including sample design, data acquisition, management, reporting, statistical analyses, modeling, and reporting; maintains MV-90 and Lodestar software releases.
• Identifies and evaluates new software for Load Analysis and supports regulatory proceedings with load forecasts and program evaluations.
• Performs SAS analyses in support of regulatory, rate design and senior management requirements.
• Evaluates impact of marketing and DSM programs on load forecasting and reports to NM Public Regulation Commission.
