Job summary

Prime Medicine in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Senior Scientist / Senior Engineer, LNP Process Development to lead development, characterization, and scale-up of lipid nanoparticle formulations for our pipeline.

You will drive process optimization, tech transfer to manufacturing partners, and collaboration across Research, Platform, and Clinical teams, delivering robust, GMP-ready drug products.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or related field with 8+ years of industrial LNP process development experience.
• Expertise in LNP formulation, TFF operations and related characterization methods.
• Hands-on experience with GMP/CDMO tech transfer to GMP facilities or CDMOs.
• Experience with IND/CTA submissions and regulatory interactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, execution, and optimization of LNP processes from bench through GLP/GMP scale.
• Serve as SME for LNP process development across programs and therapeutic areas.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and materials to improve delivery, quality, manufacturability, and cost.
• Support technology transfer activities to external CDMOs with packages and on-site support.
• Author and contribute to CMC sections of regulatory filings and responses.
• Maintain documentation using ELNs; generate protocols, reports, and SOPs.
