Job summary

The Principal Process Engineer at Sempra Infrastructure leads the technical development, design, and start-up of LNG and renewable projects, ensuring safety, compliance, and fit-for-purpose solutions. You will review data, coordinate PFDs/P&IDs, and manage cross-functional teams to meet schedule and budget.

Based in Port Arthur, TX during commissioning and Operate Phase, you will develop operating procedures, support economic analyses, and drive process safety initiatives to maximize reliability

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in process engineering and LNG projects.
• Strong knowledge of safety studies and process design standards.
• Proven ability to manage complex technical programs.

Responsibilities

• Leads phases of technical development and implementation of LNG projects.
• Coordinates process design data, PFDs, P&IDs, HMBs, and commissioning needs.
• Manages sub-teams and ensures work meets scope, budget and schedule.
• Provides project status updates and assesses risks and conditions affecting performance.
• Participates in HAZID/HAZOP and implements recommended actions.
• Oversees third parties and reviews documentation for turnover.
• Develops operating philosophies and procedures, and supports economics analyses.
• Develops process-monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Maintains knowledge assets in the Engineering Knowledge Bank.
