Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 10 years of LNG process engineering experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of LNG processes and related systems.
• Experience supporting FEL/stage-gate processes, project scoping, and design basis development.
• Ability to work independently in a seconded role while aligning with Kent’s standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as client-facing Senior Process Engineer seconded to client’s LNG facility, providing process engineering support for early-stage project development and technical definition.
• Identify, evaluate, and progress capital project opportunities at an LNG operating facility.
• Develop scopes from opportunity identification through concept development, FEED transition, and detailed design support.
• Prepare and contribute to project design bases, scoping documents, preliminary engineering packages, and stage-gate deliverables.
• Perform process engineering calculations and studies, including simulations, hydraulics, and PSV sizing.
• Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, and instrument datasheets.
• Support LNG liquefaction, gas treating, refrigerant systems, boil-off gas handling, LNG storage and loading, utilities and offsites.
• Maintain site presence through field walkdowns and operability assessments.
• Coordinate with client and Kent teams to ensure technically sound, safe, and executable scopes.
• Review drawings, site standards, and engineering documentation to identify gaps and risks.
