Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an LLM Engineer for a 100% remote US-based role. You will design, execute, and operationalize fine-tuning workflows for LLMs with supervised, DPO, and RLHF approaches, leveraging modern training stacks and scalable pipelines.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of ML research/engineering, strong Python/PyTorch skills, and hands-on experience with large-model fine-tuning, safety evaluations, and production-grade engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in CS/ML or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years ML research and engineering with LLM exposure.
• Strong Python and PyTorch proficiency.
• Hands-on fine-tuning transformer models at scale.
• Familiar with RLHF, DPO, or other preference techniques.
• Solid evaluation methodology and benchmarks experience.
• Experience operating GPU clusters and recovering from failures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute fine-tuning experiments for LLMs using supervised, RLHF and related techniques.
• Lead dataset construction, curation, and quality assurance for instruction tuning.
• Build scalable training pipelines on modern distributed frameworks.
• Tune hyperparameters, optimizers, and stability strategies for large models.
• Implement parameter-efficient fine-tuning methods (LoRA, QLoRA, adapters).
• Design rigorous evaluation suites including automated and human benchmarks.
• Implement safety, refusal, and policy evaluation across releases.
• Operate large-scale training jobs on GPU clusters and recover state reliably.
• Optimize training throughput with mixed precision and efficient attention.
• Manage model artifacts, lineage, and reproducibility across experiments.
• Collaborate with product/engineering to align roadmaps with business needs.
• Document methodology, results, and decisions for technical audiences.
• Mentor engineers on best practices and responsible deployment.
• Stay current with LLM research and translate advances to production.
