Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an LLM Engineer to design, execute, and operationalize fine-tuning workflows for large language models. The role blends engineering discipline with ML experimentation and cross-functional collaboration.

You will lead dataset creation, build scalable training pipelines on modern distributed stacks, and mentor engineers while shipping production-ready LLM capabilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, ML, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of ML research and engineering with significant LLM exposure.
• Strong Python and PyTorch proficiency.
• Hands‑on fine‑tuning of transformer models at scale.
• Distributed training with FSDP/ZeRO/pipeline parallelism.
• Experience with RLHF, DPO, or preference optimization techniques.
• Solid evaluation methodology, benchmarks, and human evaluation design.
• Experience operating GPU clusters and recovering from failures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Track record shipping or publishing impactful LLM work.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute fine-tuning experiments for LLMs using supervised, DPO, RLHF.
• Lead dataset construction, curation, and QA for instruction tuning.
• Build scalable training pipelines on modern distributed frameworks.
• Tune hyperparameters and stability strategies for large-model fine-tuning.
• Implement LoRA, QLoRA, and adapter-based methods.
• Design rigorous evaluation suites including benchmarks and probes.
• Implement safety, refusal, and policy evaluations across releases.
• Operate large GPU clusters and recover training state reliably.
• Optimize throughput with mixed precision and efficient attention.
• Manage model artifacts and experiment reproducibility.
• Collaborate with product, research, and platform teams; document methods clearly.
• Mentor engineers on best practices and responsible deployment.
• Stay current with LLM research and production-ready recipes.
