Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in CS/ML or equivalent.
• 10+ years of ML research and engineering with significant LLM exposure.
• Proficiency in Python and PyTorch.
• Experience fine-tuning transformer models at scale.
• Distributed training experience (FSDP/ZeRO).
• Experience with RLHF, DPO, or preference tuning.
• Strong evaluation design and benchmarks.
• Experience operating GPU training clusters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Track record of shipping LLM work.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute fine-tuning experiments for LLMs.
• Build scalable training pipelines on modern frameworks.
• Tune hyperparameters and stability strategies for large models.
• Implement parameter-efficient fine-tuning techniques (LoRA, QLoRA).
• Design rigorous evaluation suites and benchmarks.
• Lead safety, refusal, and policy evaluations.
• Operate large-scale GPU training jobs and recover state.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align roadmaps.
• Document methodology and results for diverse audiences.
• Mentor engineers on fine-tuning practices.
