Qualifications

• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent; college courses or education in food service/management preferred.
• Six months experience in a restaurant or similar environment as a cook.
• Able to operate standard cooking equipment and utensils used in facilities serving food.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Able to work with seniors and interact patiently with cognitively impaired individuals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food following approved menu and standards.
• Assist in planning, preparation, and delivery of meals, including special events.
• Ensure sanitary food handling and compliance with policies.
• Develop culinary procedures to meet timing and temperature requirements.
• Maintain portion control and minimize waste.
• In absence of the Culinary Services Director, supervise staff and operations.
