Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking a Sous Chef at Aston Gardens Pelican Marsh in Naples, FL. You will oversee food production, assist in menu planning, and help manage kitchen operations to meet budgets and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in culinary arts preferred.
• Minimum of three years experience as a Chef/Kitchen Manager.
• Successful completion of recognized food safety course.

Responsibilities

• Assists chef with planning, staffing, organizing and coordinating the preparation of all meals in all levels of care.
• Helps planning menus and menu cycles according to cultural and regional food preferences, and resident dietary guidelines.
• Monitors the quality and consistency of the food including temperatures, portions, palatability and presentation.
• Manages inventory and labor scheduling to meet budget.
• Ensures compliance with dietary restrictions and safety procedures.
• Creates holiday menus and conducts regular QA audits.
