Job summary

Christian Living Communities | Cappella Living Solutions seeks a Social Services professional to oversee day-to-day operations in our community, coordinating care between residents, families and interdisciplinary teams. You will assess psychosocial needs, assist with budgets, and implement policies to support high-quality resident care.

The role requires a BSW (MSW preferred), 2+ years in long-term care and 1+ year of supervision, with strong English communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work required; Master's preferred.
• Minimum of two years' experience in long-term care preferred.
• 1 year supervisory experience.
• Experience with word processing and database programs.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Excellent customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, evaluate and meet residents' psychosocial needs.
• Assist in preparing the Social Services budget and maintain budgetary compliance.
• Help create, implement and revise Social Services policies and procedures.
• Provide information and referrals to residents and families linking to services.
• Disseminate information on available financial resources and benefits.
• Mediate disputes among residents, families and staff.
• Assist with crisis intervention and development of coping strategies.
• Design and evaluate programs serving individual needs and interests.
• Interviewing, hiring and supervising staff where applicable.
