Job summary

Oakmont Senior Living's The Ivy at Berkeley, a premier senior living community, seeks a Server for full- and part-time shifts (AM/PM) in Berkeley, CA. You will serve residents and guests with warmth, take orders into POS, set up and break down tables, and help maintain a safe dining environment.

Experience is not required; we train the right candidates. Must be 16+, HS diploma or equivalent, excellent customer service, and a genuine desire to care for the elderly.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Accurately take residents' and guests’ food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS.
• Set up and break down (bus) tables.
• Assure compliance with proper serving techniques/etiquette.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
