Job summary

Oakmont Management Group operates Ivy Park at Pleasanton, a premier senior living community in California. The Server position covers Friday to Monday from 11:00 to 19:00, with pay between $17.80 and $18.80 per hour. Training is provided and we welcome applicants who enjoy working with seniors.

The role focuses on courteous service, accurate order taking, and teamwork to create meaningful resident experiences in our dining areas in accordance with company values.

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate.
• Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For health and safety of our team, vaccination and PPE may be required.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents, family members, and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient, and courteous manner.
• Accurately and professionally take residents' and guests’ food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS.
• Set up and break down (bus) tables.
• Assure compliance with proper serving techniques/etiquette.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
