Job summary

MBK Senior Living is seeking a Server to provide a pleasant dining experience for residents, managing orders, service, and seating with a strong emphasis on customer care and hospitality.

You will help residents with meal choices, maintain clean dining areas, and support kitchen and dining services to ensure a positive eating environment. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Exposure to restaurant operations or the ability to learn.
• Age over 18 years or have proper work permit and authorization documentation.
• Background clearances as required by government regulations.
• Health screening and negative TB test within the last 6 months or 7 days of employment.
• Basic counting skills for tracking meals and residents.
• Good communication skills including spoken and written English.
• Ability to operate standard serving equipment (salad bar cart, trays, heating cart).
• Must be mindful of resource use and avoid waste.

Responsibilities

• Takes written food orders and serves meals to residents, family members and visitors in a professional, efficient and courteous manner.
• Assist residents with meal/menu selections as necessary or requested.
• Waits tables with proper etiquette; clear and reset tables between courses.
• Review residents' dietary needs as outlined by Supervisor.
• Track resident attendance at meals and report to the appropriate person.
• Greet and seat residents appropriately and make them feel welcome.
• Maintain a clean sanitary dining area and comply with policies regarding food handling.
• Display tact and friendliness when dealing with residents, team members, and guests.
• Assist with community marketing effort through positive interactions and grooming standards.
• Serve and clear tables; reset as needed; assist with other kitchen and dining duties.
• Report safety or equipment issues to Supervisor.
