Job summary

StoneBridge Senior Living in the Jefferson City area seeks a Registered Nurse to lead nursing care on the unit, supervise CNAs, and coordinate health education for residents.

The RN will administer medications, document orders, participate in care planning, and ensure safety while complying with policies and laws. A state RN license, CPR, and experience in geriatric long-term care are preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current state RN license.
• CPR certification and nursing specialty certification desired.
• Prefer 2 years’ experience in a long-term care setting.
• Basic computer skills and experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, interpret professional journals, procedures or regulations and communicate effectively.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing care provided by CNAs and others.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work of nursing team members.
• Prepares work assignments considering resident safety and staff capability.
• Reports staff shortages to nursing management.
• Participates in performance evaluations and staff actions.
• Schedules breaks according to resident needs and labor laws.
• Responds to resident requests for pain intervention and documents.
• Transcribes and coordinates physician orders.
• Performs nursing assessments and notifies physicians of changes in status.
• Develops care plans based on assessments and implements nursing care.
