StoneBridge Owensville located in Owensville, MO, seeks a qualified Registered Nurse to plan, coordinate, and manage nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting. The RN reports to the Director of Nursing and demonstrates compassion and empathy in caring for frail elderly residents.

The role involves supervising CNAs/CMTs, coordinating schedules, and ensuring accurate medication administration while adhering to physician orders and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must have a current state license to practice as a registered nurse (RN).
• Current CPR certification and additional certification in nursing specialty desired.
• Prefer 2 years’ experience in a long-term care setting.
• Basic computer skills and experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.

Responsabilités

• Supervises nursing care provided by nursing assistants and others.
• Plans, assigns and directs work of nursing team members.
• Prepares work assignments with resident safety and staff ability in mind.
• Reports staff shortages to nursing management.
• Assists to prepare performance evaluations and manages wage-related considerations.
• Schedules and adjusts meal/rest breaks per resident needs and labor laws.
• Receives and resolves employee complaints; monitors job performance.
• Coordinates nursing care on the unit; ensures appropriate nurse aide coverage.
• Provides safe and accurate medication-related interventions and documents medications.
• Administers and documents medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Performs nursing assessments and notifies physician of status changes.
• Develops plans of care and conducts ongoing resident assessments to avoid unplanned discharges.
