Qualifications

• Must hold a current state RN license.
• Current CPR certification; nursing specialty certifications preferred.
• Experience in gerontological nursing with long-term care setting preferred (2+ years).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficient in documentation.
• Ability to supervise nursing staff and coordinate resident care per physician orders.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing care provided by nursing assistants and others under supervision.
• Plans, assigns, and directs work of nursing team members.
• Administers and documents medications and treatments per schedule.
• Coordinates nursing care to ensure resident safety and quality care.
• Monitors staff performance and adheres to policies and laws.
• Participates in staffing and evaluations; responds to resident needs.
