Waltonwood Sterling Heights is seeking a Resident Care Manager to lead the Resident Care Department and supervise Wellness Nurses, Coordinators, and staff, ensuring compassionate, high-quality care for residents.

The role requires an RN or LPN, an associated or bachelor’s degree, CPR certification, MS Office proficiency, and 3–5 years of nursing and senior care experience, with weekend/holiday availability.

Qualifications

• RN or LPN in the state is preferred.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications is required.
• 3-5 years of previous experience as a Nurse is required.
• 3-5 years of previous experience working with seniors is preferred.
• Previous experience working in an assisted living or memory care community is preferred.
• Able to work weekends and holidays as needed, sharing the Manager on Duty responsibilities.

Responsabilités

• Lead the Resident Care Department by setting a positive example, being visible, involved, accessible, and helping staff with professional growth.
• Ensure quality assurance and regulatory compliance by monitoring assessments, referrals, coordination of services, resident files, and care plans.
• Provide wellness care for residents and follow up with health concerns.
• Participate in care conferences with resident families to communicate changes in health and behaviors.
• Assess vitals of residents and report changes to health care professionals on file.
• Coordinate move-ins with Marketing team and Executive Director; conduct assessments for prospective residents and create care plans.
• Administer and assist with medication management using eMAR to ensure correct medication timing.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels through leadership of Wellness Coordinator and Scheduler; assist with hiring caregivers and Med Techs.
• Create an educational environment by training associates on applicable topics.
• Participate in the on-call rotation within the department.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
