Job summary

LHC Group in Chapel Hill, NC seeks a Senior Living Physical Therapist Assistant to provide age-appropriate services to adults and geriatrics under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. The PTA assists in carrying out treatment plans, supervises students or technicians, and documents care in accordance with policies.

This role involves direct patient care in a home-like setting. Required qualifications include current PTA licensure, a valid driver’s license, and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Available to work a weekend rotation
• CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire (preferred)
• Ability to perform patient care tasks including lifting, transferring, and assisting with mobility

Responsibilities

• Utilizes equipment safely and maintains logs for inspection, maintenance, and cleaning.
• Follows prescribed medical regimens and precautions for each patient.
• Performs safe treatment techniques including transfers, positioning, feeding, splinting, and cryotherapy.
• Delivers direct patient care and documents services per facility policies.
