Job summary

LHC Group, part of the Optum family, is seeking a Senior Living Physical Therapist Assistant to provide age-appropriate services for adult to geriatric patients under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

The PTA assists in carrying out treatment plans, supervises PTA students or technicians, and documents services in accordance with facility policies. A weekend rotation is required, and reliable transportation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate services for adult to geriatric patients under supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Assists in carrying out the treatment plan to individuals and groups as designed by the Physical Therapist.
• Supervises treatment delivered by PTA student or technician; provides patient/family instruction; documents services.
• Per facility and department policies and procedures; direct patient care.
