Jaybird Senior Living in Kasson, MN is seeking an Assistant Healthcare Coordinator (RN or LPN) to support the Healthcare Coordinator in delivering compassionate nursing and personal care to residents. This role emphasizes compliance, documentation, and high-quality care with flexible hours.

You will monitor care services, assist with assessments, and guide caregivers while upholding HIPAA and state regulations. A strong clinical background and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Current RN or LPN license in good standing with the state.
• At least 6 months of caregiving or nursing experience, preferably with seniors.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medication administration and treatment procedures.
• Professionalism and empathy when working with residents and families.
• Ability to stay calm and effective in emotionally charged situations.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; computer proficiency.
• Must complete state-required continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Monitor PCC dashboard for compliance and accurate documentation.
• Assist with reviews, assessments, and incident reporting as directed.
• Provide guidance and training to caregivers in line with state regulations.
• Collect lab samples and follow up with residents, families, and physicians on results.
• Take and record vital signs and observe changes in residents' conditions.
• Prepare and use medical equipment per regulations.
• Support resident assistants with personal care as needed.
• Collaborate with Healthcare Coordinator to monitor EMAR documentation.
• Participate in in-service programs for ongoing learning.
