Job summary

Jaybird Senior Living is seeking an Assistant Healthcare Coordinator (RN or LPN) to support care services and ensure regulatory compliance in a senior living community. Flexible hours, patient-centered care, and collaboration with the Healthcare Coordinator are key aspects of the role.

The position requires an active RN/LPN license, at least 6 months of caregiving or nursing experience, and strong clinical and communication skills to work with residents and families.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in good standing.
• Minimum 6 months caregiving/nursing experience, preferably with seniors.
• Experience with medication administration and clinical procedures.
• Ability to remain calm in emotional situations.
• Strong teamwork and communication; computer proficiency.
• Must complete state-required continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments safely.
• Monitor PCC dashboard for compliance and documentation.
• Assist with reviews, assessments, and incident reporting.
• Provide caregiver training aligned with Nurse Practice Act.
• Collect lab samples and follow up with residents, families, and physicians on results.
• Take and record vital signs, observe residents for changes in condition, and communicate findings.
• Assemble and use medical equipment per regulations.
• Support resident assistants in providing personal care.
• Partner with Healthcare Coordinator to monitor EMAR documentation and ensure care compliance.
• Participate in in-service programs for continued learning and professional growth.
• Interact with residents, families, and visitors with professionalism, compassion, and respect.
• Uphold HIPAA, community policies, and state/federal healthcare regulations.
