Job summary

Ivy Park at Los Gatos, a premier senior living community, seeks a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in medication administration for residents and provide direct personal care in alignment with company standards. This role supports activities, coordinates with the pharmacy and physician, and collaborates with housekeepers and maintenance to uphold our mission and values.

Pay ranges from $20.00 to $21.00 per hour and the position is based at our Los Gatos campus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience assisting with medications in a RCFE.
• State-required training/certification may be required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• HS diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Strong desire to care for the elderly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with staff, physicians, residents and families.
• Criminal background and health screenings, TB tests may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with the resident, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
