Job summary

Ivyliving's Ivy Park at Hayward, a premier senior living community, seeks a Medication Technician to supervise and assist in the administration of medications to residents, following nursing standards and company values.

You will prepare and distribute medications, coordinate with pharmacies and physicians, maintain confidential medication records, and support a safe, caring environment in collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience assisting with medication at a RCFE preferred.
• State regulation may require training/certification.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• HS diploma or equivalent; LVN is a plus.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (including TB).
• Vaccination/testing and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute medication to residents.
• Coordinate medication services with residents, pharmacy, and physician.
• Order and track medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential resident medication and care records.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests.
• Encourage teamwork with co-workers and other departments.
