Job summary

TerraBella Senior Living is seeking a Care/Medication Technician in a senior living community in Gastonia, NC. The role includes hands-on care, medication observation, and assisting residents with daily activities in a safe home-like setting.

The position emphasizes maintaining resident dignity, supporting independence, and collaborating with Nurses and Health Care Coordinators to meet care plans. Training and career growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred.
• High School diploma/GED
• Must be 18 years of age.
• CPR Certification preferred
• First Aid Certification preferred
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for a designated group of residents during the shift and check on them throughout the shift.
• Observe, report and document symptoms and conditions of residents for changes in condition.
• Respond to security system and resident call bells promptly.
• Notify supervisor and/or Health Care Coordinator if a resident has increased care needs.
• Assist with continence management and dispose of products to ensure sanitation.
• Serve and collect food trays and assist as needed; report refusal of meals.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident’s room and work areas.
• Practice standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene and health.
• Help residents maintain independence and safety; promote dignity.
• Lead and assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, etc.).
• Engage residents in life skills and enrichment activities.
• Greet and assist all customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors and team members.
• Perform resident laundry as assigned and needed.
