Job summary

TerraBella Senior Living is seeking a Care/Medication Technician to join our Morningside of Gastonia community. The role involves providing hands-on care and support to residents in a safe, home-like environment, including medication observation and daily living assistance.

Qualified applicants may have CNA certification, a High School diploma or GED, and CPR/First Aid certifications. Prior experience with seniors is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred.
• High School diploma/GED
• Must be 18 years of age.
• CPR Certification preferred
• First Aid Certification preferred
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for a designated group of residents during the shift; know where their residents are and check on them throughout the shift.
• Observe, report and document symptoms and conditions of residents; monitor skin, behavior, alertness, weight, dietary intake and activity participation.
• Respond to security system and resident call bells promptly; notify supervisor or Health Care Coordinator if a resident has increased care needs.
• Assist with continence management and dispose of continence products to ensure sanitation.
• Serve and collect food trays; report refusal of meals or loss of appetite.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and work areas; practice good standard care precautions.
• Help residents maintain independence, promote dignity and safety; assist with activities of daily living.
• Engage residents in life skills and enrichment activities; greet and assist all customers and visitors.
• Perform resident laundry as assigned.
