Job summary

TerraBella Senior Living in Shelby, NC, seeks a Care/Medication Technician to support residents across care levels, from independent living to memory care. You will work with a dedicated team to ensure comfort, safety, and respectful, person-centered care for residents across shifts.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred.
• CPR Certification preferred.
• First Aid Certification preferred.
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a designated group of residents during the shift; monitor and check on them.
• Observe, report and document symptoms and changes in residents’ condition.
• Respond to resident calls and alarms promptly.
• Assist with continence management and sanitation of resident suites and restrooms.
• Serve and collect food trays; report refusals or loss of appetite.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and work areas.
• Practice standard care precautions and hygiene.
• Promote independence, dignity, and safety for residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transfers, eating).
• Engage residents in life skills and enrichment activities.
• Greet and assist residents, family members, guests, vendors, and team members.
• Perform resident laundry as assigned.
