Job summary

Experience Senior Living is seeking a Medication Assistant to join our team. This full-time role runs 6a-6p and supports residents by providing medication reminders and administering medications as allowed by state guidelines.

You will maintain resident records in our digital platform, perform room checks, assist with care, respond to requests, and coordinate with the Director of Health and Wellness. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, state medication certification, and First Aid/CPR

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or 2–4 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Medication certification as required by state guidelines.
• Must complete ESL medication competency on hire per state regulation.
• First Aid and CPR certification if required by state law and/or Company standards.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating manuals, and procedures.
• Clear communication and hospitality-focused service delivery.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication reminders and/or assistance according to state regulations.
• Administers medications as allowed by state guidelines.
• Order and receive medication. Ensure all medications are available for administration and communicate with pharmacy.
• Prioritize tasks to ensure optimum services to residents as needs change.
• Maintain resident records in our digital platform daily, including medication distribution and incidents.
• Perform room visits and room checks on a regular basis.
• Assist with resident care when needed.
• Respond promptly to resident requests for assistance, including pull cords and calls.
• Monitor safety and well-being of residents and report changes to the Director of Health and Wellness.
• Audit and check rooms for medications residents are self-administering and ensure compliance.
• Maintain open communication with supervisor and peers to address resident issues.
• May perform other duties as needed.
