Job summary

Experience Senior Living Team seeks a dedicated Medication Assistant for our senior living community. You will provide medication reminders and administer medications per state guidelines, maintain accurate resident records, and assist with direct care.

You will respond promptly to resident requests, monitor safety, and collaborate with health staff to ensure high-quality service for residents and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Medication certification per state guidelines.
• ESL medication competency upon hire.
• First Aid and CPR Certification if required by state law.
• Able to read and interpret safety/operating instructions and communicate with residents and staff.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication reminders and/or assistance according to state regulations.
• Administer medications as allowed by state guidelines.
• Order and receive medication and liaise with pharmacy if needed.
• Maintain residents' records in our digital platform daily (medication distribution, incidents, observations).
• Perform room visits and room checks on a regular basis and assist with resident care.
• Respond promptly to resident requests for assistance (emergency pull cords, calls).
• Monitor safety and well-being of residents and inform Health and Wellness Director.
• Audit rooms for medications residents self-administer and ensure guideline compliance.
• Maintain open communication with supervisor and peers about resident issues.
• May perform other duties as needed.
