Job summary

Experience Senior Living LLC in Indiana is seeking a dedicated Medication Assistant to join our compassionate care team. You will provide medication reminders and administer medications per state guidelines, while maintaining accurate resident records in our digital platform.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the pharmacy, assisting with resident care, room visits, and responding promptly to requests from residents and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Medication certification as required by state guidelines.
• ESL medication competency upon hire as required by state regulation.
• First Aid and CPR Certification if required by state law and/or Company standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide medication reminders and administer medications per state guidelines.
• Order and receive medication; communicate with pharmacy if not available.
• Maintain resident records daily in our digital platform (medication distribution, incidents, observations).
• Perform room visits and room checks on a regular basis; assist with resident care as needed.
• Respond promptly to resident requests for assistance, including emergency pull cords and family requests.
• Monitor safety and well-being of residents; communicate changes to Health Director or Wellness Nurse on duty.
• Audit rooms for self-administered medications and ensure guidelines compliance.
• Maintain open communication with supervisor and peers to address resident issues.
