Job summary

Westmont Living in Morgan Hill, CA is seeking a compassionate MED TECH to support residents with the medication program. You will set up medications, document administration, and work under the RN and RSD guidance to ensure safe self-administration.

Qualifications

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents with self-administration.
• Set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or RN/RSD.
• Document medication assistance on MARs immediately after assistance and note PRN reasons.
• Criminal record clearance required prior to start.
• Health screen (Physical, TB, drug test) required.
• First aid certification current or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform medication set-up and assist residents on the Medication Program with self-administration.
• Set up, record and assist with medications as ordered by physicians and/or at the direction of the RN and RSD.
• Provide medication assistance documentation per policy and state requirements including MARs and PRN notes.
• Maintain compliance with background checks and health screenings.
• Assist with daily medication-related procedures as directed by licensed staff.
