Qualifications

• Must have a high school education or equivalent.
• Knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators, and mechanical, electrical & plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, staff and public.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate maintenance services and report to Executive Director.
• Establish a preventive maintenance program.
• Repair facility/resident property or coordinate with outside vendors.
• Identify and classify maintenance tasks involving exposure to blood/body fluids.
• Inspect storage rooms and keep maintenance supplies in control.
• Participate in facility inspections and develop plans of correction.
• Recommend maintenance service adjustments to keep environment safe and comfortable.
• Ensure safety equipment usage and proper disposal of infectious wastes.
• Supervise safety and fire protection programs and inspect areas weekly.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and report breaches.
