Job summary

Carillon Senior Living in Lubbock, TX is seeking a General Maintenance Technician. The role is full-time and pays $16–$20 per hour. You will maintain the physical plant, perform repairs, and support residents with daily needs in a vibrant senior living community.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, some technical schooling, and at least one year of maintenance experience. Candidates should be able to operate relevant tools and communicate effectively.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Technical schooling or related background preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in construction or maintenance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with general construction tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance duties such as repairs to walls, flooring, furniture and fixtures.
• Complete work orders daily per system policy.
• Carry out painting and refurbishing projects as directed by supervisor.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance and seasonal repairs.
• Install locks and create keys; manage keys for the campus.
• Troubleshoot and install call systems, telecom, and network lines.
• Repair plumbing and lighting fixtures; fix appliances as needed.
• Assist residents with non-health care needs and move furniture as required.
