Job summary

South Port Square in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a Maintenance Tech to uphold the property’s comfort and safety. You’ll perform repairs across apartments and common areas, troubleshoot electrical, plumbing and HVAC issues, and support the maintenance team to keep the campus running smoothly.

The role requires dependable, flexible professionals who communicate well with residents and staff, and who can work under general supervision.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of residential building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, flooring and appliances.
• Ability to effectively communicate with residents and staff.
• Work under general supervision.
• Flexible and have integrity.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and public areas, including electrical, plumbing, lighting, doors and locks.
• Assists in responding to malfunction of HVAC equipment and performs simple repairs as needed.
• Responds to emergency calls regarding system and equipment failures.
• Completes all work orders with detailed task and equipment information.
• Assists other maintenance personnel on campus projects or snow removal.
• Maintains proper levels of materials and supplies to ensure timely task completion.
• Works scheduled and on-call overtime as necessary.
• Performs additional duties as assigned by Supervisor and Director of General Services.
• Attendance is essential and punctuality is required.
