Job summary

OPS Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our senior living community safe, clean, and well-maintained. The role involves routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and supporting apartment turnovers to ensure residents have a comfortable home.

You will work closely with the Maintenance Director and other department leaders to deliver responsive service, address resident requests promptly, and uphold our high safety and appearance standards across common areas and resident apartments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders promptly and professionally.
• Perform routine repairs including plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, flooring, and general maintenance.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Assist with apartment turnovers, including repairs, painting, cleaning support, and preparation for new residents.
• Maintain the appearance and safety of resident apartments and common areas.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests with professionalism and courtesy.
• Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Director, Executive Director, nursing, housekeeping, dietary, activities, and other departments.
