Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or facilities maintenance preferred.
• General knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete routine repairs safely.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine maintenance and repair tasks throughout the community.
• Assist with preventive maintenance for building systems and equipment.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair work.
• Troubleshoot maintenance concerns and determine appropriate next steps.
• Inspect resident apartments, common areas, equipment, and building systems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and team members.
• Assist with apartment preparation, including repairs, painting, and minor improvements.
• Replace light bulbs, fixtures, filters, hardware, and other building components.
• Help maintain sidewalks, entrances, parking areas, and outdoor spaces.
• Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance storage areas.
• Follow safety procedures and properly handle maintenance materials.
• Maintain accurate records of completed repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Report major repairs, hazards, or vendor needs to the supervisor.
• Work cooperatively with outside contractors and community departments.
• Assist with emergency maintenance needs as assigned.
• Complete additional maintenance and community duties as needed
