Job summary

Enriched Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform maintenance and repairs on building structures and grounds, following policy and procedures. The role includes preventive maintenance, cleaning, and safety inspections to ensure a safe, attractive environment for residents.

The candidate will assist with move-ins/move-outs, supervise contractors as needed, and manage basic inventory while complying with regulatory requirements. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High school or GED.
• Licenses/Certifications: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing preferred.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a valid state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Paints and performs structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings or oversees contractors.
• Performs grounds maintenance: mowing, trimming hedges, weeding, raking leaves.
• Cleans and maintains buildings: buffing, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, carpet cleaning, windows.
• Inspects and services HVAC and environmental control systems or oversees contractors.
• Inspects and services plumbing to comply with codes and standards or oversees contractors.
• Repairs and repaints all areas of the building.
• Assists other departments; moves furniture and unloads supplies.
• Maintains and refurbishes unoccupied rooms for rental readiness within 7 days.
• Follows all State and Federal regulations; completes compliance training as required.
• Meets residents on move-in; assists with moves, furniture, and setup to create a home-like environment.
• Handles chemicals safely; keeps them locked when not in use.
• Performs disaster drills and participates in safety training.
• Maintains confidentiality; handles on-call emergencies and budget-related tasks.
• Drives community vehicle for resident transport and community errands as assigned.
