Job summary

Elderwood at Waverly is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support building safety and resident care. You’ll perform repairs across electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and mechanical systems, as well as grounds maintenance including snow/ice removal.

The role requires 1 year of related maintenance experience, a valid driver license, and a willingness to participate in the on-call program. Full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Minimum one year of related maintenance experience.
• Valid driver license.
• On-call participation may include off-hours.
• Experience operating basic tools and equipment.
• Safety and patient/resident privacy awareness.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and mechanical tasks as directed.
• Maintain grounds, parking lots, and driveways; snow/ice removal as needed.
• Move heavy furniture and equipment safely.
• Ensure resident safety and dignity; provide courteous service.
• Occasionally drive company vehicle and adjust schedules as required.
