Avamere Living in Sherwood, OR is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support building upkeep across a senior living campus. You will perform routine maintenance, assist with cleaning, and ensure a safe environment under supervision of the Building Maintenance Director.

Responsibilities include safety checks, coordinating with vendors, responding to requests and emergencies, and maintaining records of repairs and inspections. High school diploma required.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining buildings such as long-term care or multifamily facilities.
• Basic knowledge of boilers, compressors, generators and various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Basic knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, minor repairs and ensuring the facility is in good working order.
• Conduct routine safety checks and assist with snow and ice removal as needed.
• Assist with cleaning and sanitation, including trash removal and floor care.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for larger repairs and maintenance projects.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies promptly.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, OSHA, EPA and fire safety codes.
• Inspect equipment, buildings and grounds for hazards and address issues.
• Respond to emergencies and lead evacuation efforts when necessary.
• Check and maintain life safety equipment per OSHA requirements.
