Job summary

Bickford Senior Living in Fredericksburg, VA is hiring a Maintenance Coordinator to keep the branch clean and in good working order, ensuring a safe and well-kept home for our residents.

This full-time role includes comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) with employer match, with eligibility for benefits beginning after 30 days. The position requires a valid driver’s license for transporting residents as needed.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certifications are required or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Written and verbal communication skills required.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Branch to a standard of excellence that reflects the quality of care we provide our residents.
• Prioritize and complete all maintenance tasks timely.
• Address maintenance issues promptly, notifying the Director when outside services are needed.
• Ensure all apartments are move-in-ready within 3 days after move-out.
• Assist in arranging service contracts and bids as assigned.
• Promptly complete items from Maintenance Request forms.
• Manage the Preventive Maintenance Work Schedule to ensure items are completed timely.
• Order supplies/chemicals as assigned.
• Identify emergency situations and respond appropriately using the applicable Bickford procedure.
• Ensure equipment remains in working order and is used safely.
• Complete Resident Monitoring System Testing Procedure Checklist as scheduled.
• Complete the Exit Door Inspection Checklist as scheduled.
• Perform emergency tests according to the Preventive Maintenance Work Schedule.
• Ensure chemicals utilized are securely stored, labeled, and used per directions, and appropriate PPE is worn.
• Ensure OSHA compliance while working in the Branch.
• Complete tasks necessary to comply with all applicable state and federal regulatory agencies.
