Job summary

The Highlands at Wyomissing is seeking a Maintenance/Grounds Technician to perform building maintenance, landscaping, repairs, and snow removal using electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry skills in a full-time role. This on-site position supports a safe, attractive campus for residents, requires on-call rotation, teamwork, and strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years grounds or landscaping experience preferred.
• 2–5 years construction maintenance required.
• 2–5 years basic plumbing skills required.
• 2–5 years basic electrical skills required.
• Completion of Highlands Hearthstone Ambassador training within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance, repairs, and inspections
• Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC troubleshooting
• Landscape maintenance including weed control, mowing, planting, pruning, edging, mulching
• Snow and ice removal including plowing, salting, shoveling
• Assist with resident moves and room setups
