Job summary

Charter Senior Living of Gallatin is seeking an experienced Maintenance / Environmental Services Director to oversee building maintenance, preventive programs, and safety in a senior living community. This role is hands-on, collaborative, and requires dependable leadership to keep apartments, common areas, and systems in top condition.

The position offers a 40-hour workweek, Monday–Friday, with after-hours emergency on-call responsibilities and a salary of $50,000–$55,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Experience in hands-on building maintenance with mechanical skills.
• Ability to identify maintenance issues and perform safe, quality repairs.
• Willingness to respond to after-hours emergencies.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance operations across the community.
• Perform hands-on repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate outside contractors and manage work orders.
• Lead maintenance and environmental services staff.
• Ensure apartments and common areas are well-maintained.
• Support safety procedures and resident service.
