Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is hiring a Life Enrichment Director at our Hockessin, DE community. You will design and lead engaging activities across independent living, assisted living, and memory care, aligning with residents’ needs and wellness goals.

The role involves coordinating monthly activity plans, supervising staff and volunteers, and ensuring programs stay within budget while maintaining high-quality resident engagement.

Qualifications

• Certified therapeutic recreation specialist or activities professional by a recognized accrediting body; or two years of related senior program experience, including dementia care.
• Must maintain applicable state dementia-specific training.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or eligibility within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement meaningful activity and recreational programs for IL, AL and MC.
• Plan monthly activity programs for all levels of care; assess resident needs and resources.
• Attend resident association meetings and coordinate with families to promote participation.
• Oversee program budget and maintain supplies; supervise volunteers and staff involved in activities.
• Provide guidance to staff on life enrichment and residents’ quality of life.
