Job summary

Harmony Senior Services seeks a Life Enrichment Director to design and lead activity programs across Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. You will coordinate volunteers, work with families, and ensure activities promote physical and psychosocial wellbeing.

The role requires a Therapeutic Recreation background, Dementia Practitioner credentials, and strong communication. A flexible schedule and leadership within a privacy-conscious, resident-centered environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation professional
• Two years in a social or recreational program in long-term care within last five years, with seniors
• Be a Certified Dementia Practitioner or eligible for certification
• Maintain state dementia-specific training requirements
• Strong written and oral communication with residents, families, staff, vendors and public
• Must have compassion for seniors and be self-driven and team oriented
• Experience planning, organizing and executing varied life enrichment activities across care levels
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to supervise volunteers

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement meaningful activity programs for IL/AL/MC residents
• Plan a monthly activities program for all care levels per Harmony guidelines
• Meet new residents to complete the Life Profile
• Coordinate volunteers and staff involvement in activities
• Manage activity program budget within approved guidelines
• Engage with residents' families regarding participation in activities
• Attend resident association meetings and link residents with staff
• Represent Harmony in a positive, professional manner
