Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Life Enrichment Director to develop and oversee engaging activity programs for IL, AL, and MC residents. You will plan diverse activities, work with residents and families, and coordinate with staff to ensure a high quality of life across all levels of care.

Qualified professionals will lead the program, manage budgets, and train volunteers while maintaining compassionate relationships with residents and staff in a dynamic senior living environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified therapeutic recreation specialist or eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation professional, or two years of relevant experience in a long-term care setting.
• Certified Dementia Practitioner or eligible for certification.
• Maintain applicable dementia-specific training requirements.
• High level of written and verbal communication with residents, families, staff and the public.
• Must be a self-starter, capable of independent work and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement an effective resident activities program across IL, AL and MC.
• Plan a monthly program of activities for all care levels and meet with each new resident to complete a Life Profile.
• Coordinate with families, staff, and volunteers; oversee the activities budget and supplies.
• Attend resident association meetings and coordinate with committees to identify needs.
• Provide guidance to staff on life enrichment and maintain a dignified, caring atmosphere.
